Viterbo University Auteur Film Society

Since 2012

The Auteur Film Society is concerned with promoting and screening the films of visionary directors. An auteur film is one in which an original author (director) is in complete control over the idiosyncrasies and artistic production of the cinematic experience. Genres of film that will be screened in this club include the documentary, the mockumentary, the independent, the experimental, the avant-garde, the art house, the foreign, the silent, the low-budget, the sleeper hit and the overlooked. Members can expect to be inflamed to seek out other films by the same director and/or make a film that is distinctly their own.

Questions? E-mail Joe at jemiller@viterbo.edu or visit us on Facebook for more information and to join our society.
